MUSEUM WITH NO FRONTIERS VIRTUAL MUSEUM

LANGUAGE POLICY

The MWNF Virtual Museum has been set up in cooperation with a network of institutions and museums from different countries.

Our aim is to introduce art and culture as a major means of mutual understanding to visitors from all over the world. Therefore, the MWNF Virtual Museum provides the most important contents in four widely spoken navigation languages – Arabic, English, French and Spanish – and country-related content also in the relevant local language.

On each page, on the top right, you will find a scroll-down menu to select the navigation language. In addition, for each item in the Permanent Collection and Database, a bar immediately above the information gives the option 'Local language' where relevant.

The following is a short explanation on the languages available for different sections:

PLATFORM

EXHIBITION TRAILS – ISLAMIC ART IN THE MEDITERRANEAN

Although the navigation is in the four main languages, for some Exhibition Trails you will find texts also in other languages such as German, Italian, Portuguese and Turkish.

MWNF TRAVELS

Currently available in English, German and Spanish.

MWNF BOOKS

The navigation of this section is in English, and the information about the books is provided in the language of publication of the book.
