Description:

This magnificent piece of jewellery was created in Jaipur, Rajasthan, a famous centre for the production of high-quality enamel work in Mughal times. Its design – two peacocks flanking a central floral motif – was popular in many cultures, east and west. In the Islamic world it was understood to evoke notions of paradise and eternal life.
